Kemala Hayati; to the ever supportive teachers in SMA Laboratorium UNSYIAH; to our buddies in Indonesia, Nurul Amali, Syahira Antoni, Muhammad Fadhlurrahman, and Pak Wandi; to my sending university, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture-Sipocot campus; to the entire organizing committee of SEAMEO SEA-Teacher;  and to my students and friends who I’d met and learned in my journey at the City of Banda Aceh, good day.

My sincerest gratitude to all the people who made my journey in SEA-Teacher remarkable and memorable. I have no regrets that I’d been experienced my international training in Syiah Kuala University; in fact, I considered it as one of the best blessing I’d received from above. At first, I

It was a joyful travel and worth remembering.. .

have been experienced a bit culture shocked but then along the process, I learned to indulge and love the culture as it is. Syiah Kuala University really keep abreast to the call of 21st century education challenge which is to provide globally competitive graduates, knowledge, and skilled workers. My one month stay in Syiah Kuala University, SMA Labschool and in the City of Banda Aceh will always be treasured. If I will be given a chance to visit again the Indonesia, I will always choose Banda Aceh, for whom I found my second home and family. Thank you for the best experienced that you’d shared on me. I promise, when I come back to Philippines, I will always tell to Filipinos that Indonesians and Acehnese have a good heart. The SEAMEO International Training has been successfully realized and exceeded to my expectations and desired goals by way of how Syiah Kuala University made and presented it on me.

As the program nearly ends, I suddenly felt loneliness and emptiness, for I know to myself that I will really miss the people I’d met on the journey; more than that, it’s never easy to let go because of the happy and priceless memories that I’d built together with such great people. My journey here in Banda Aceh, particularly in Syiah Kuala University made me realized one important thing – “to believe that there are lots of good people around us as we always do something good”. Along my journey, I have visited many places in Aceh, I was amazed to the beaches, falls, coffee shops, and grand mosque. I can say that Banda Aceh has a great cultures and practices, I was also surprised to its environmental diversity during visiting Lampuuk Beach, Air Terjun Lhoong, Ulee Lheue beach, Puncak Geurute, Ie seum, and many more. But more than the places I’d visited, I’d tend to fall in love deeply to the people that I had met along the days.

To my cooperating teacher, Dra. Kemala Hayati; supervising teachers, Ms. Fera, Ms. Astriet and all the teachers in SMA Laboratorium; and to my supervisor Ms. Mimie Saputri, my deepest love and recognition for you have really inspired me to do my best all the time; you are truly created by God to inspire people, community, and the nations.

To Dr. Andi Ulfa, thank you for the advises that you had shared on me. Thank you for letting me experienced handling international class in college; I was inspired by such undertaking. Charlene is right, you are the real epitome of beauty and brain. Likewise, I extended my gratitude to Ms. Wardiah for being wide listener and putting whole the trust on me that I can do well my teaching.

To my students in SMA Laboratorium UNSYIAH, I am happiest and proudest to meet and know you even for a short period of time. I hope that you will study well, and help build your community and nation to live best. God is always good – I am deeply gratifying him for he knows me more than I know myself, that’s why, as he let me know SMA Labschool, I got a family for whom I caught many life lessons that I can bring on as I continuously taking my uncharted road.

Moreover, to my buddies in Aceh; Ka Nurul Amali, Abang Syahira Antoni, Bro. Fadhlur Rahman, and Pak Wandi, I am forever grateful that the Lord made his way to cross our paths; my journey in Banda Aceh, become as it finest because of you. I will always treasure our talks, laughs, singing together, spending time together, cooking together, eating together, travelling together, coffee breaks, and throwing punch lines together. I will always hope that even somewhere and sometime, we cross our paths again to continue our storyline.

And lastly, my sincerest gratitude to the whole administration of Syiah Kuala University, and Central Bicol State University of Agriculture - Sipocot headed by Dr. Alberto N. Naperi, our SUC President; Dr. Maria Liwayway P. Matamorosa, campus administrator; and Dr. Ana Maria A. Bonito, Dean of the College of Education. Thank you! Maraming Salamat!
